It is our mission to create fresh handmade chocolates. As a result, we aim to deliver the best possible customer experience, and we therefore adhere to and if possible exceed, all current and proposed legislation in addition to trade body guidelines. The conditions detailed below do not affect your statutory rights according to United Kingdom law. These include all of the current guidelines relating to the information that we hold about you, and in order to clarify this we have a published Privacy Statement.

Chocolate Products

Product and packaging are subject to change or substitution without prior notice. If necessary we will substitute for an equal or higher priced item directly, as the majority of our orders are time critical and we may not have time to contact you. If time is available we will attempt to contact you.

Delivery Zones

Our definition of the United Kingdom includes the U.K. mainland, currently excluding Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Channel Islands and islands.

Delivery

You can choose between home delivery or you can collect your order from store. Home delivery or Click and Collect costs £4.95 on orders up to £50 or free for orders over £50. Click and Collect orders must be placed before midnight on Sunday for in-store collection on Thursday after 1pm.
Home delivery orders are delivered within 3-5 working days after placing your order. Deliveries are Tuesday to Friday  to avoid your chocolates  sitting in a distribution depot over the weekend.
Although every attempt is made to deliver on your expected delivery date, we cannot guarantee it 100% so please allow 3-5 working days for delivery.

Please ensure that there is someone to accept delivery during weekday working hours. We recommend that gifts are sent to a work address if at all possible. Should delivery to the address not be possible, a card will be left to inform the recipient how they can collect their parcel or arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipient's responsibility to arrange a suitable re-delivery date. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery.
We will deliver to the address as you enter it and can not accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Post Office address finding service.
We regret that we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box Number, or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.

Payment

We cannot accept responsibility for an order being held back as a result of incorrect or invalid payment details being given.
All prices quoted will include VAT at the appropriate rate, currently 20%. If you are eligible to reclaim the sales tax, on request we will be able to supply you with a VAT receipt.

Returns and Cancelling your Order

When shopping with Chococo, you can be assured of complete peace of mind.
You may cancel your order at any time, up until 12 noon on the day you have requested that it is despatched. In the event that you wish to cancel your order, please contact us on 01929 421777.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive (2000) you may also cancel your order at any time without reason, within 7 working days of delivery. Should you wish to cancel your order and receive a refund, you must confirm this in writing and return the complete packaged item(s) to:

Please be aware that you will be liable for any postage costs incurred as a result of returning items to Chococo and you should ensure that you obtain proof of postage as you send it back. We regret that a refund can only be provided for items received back by us. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Broken items

All our chocolate gifts are despatched in perfect condition, as we take the utmost care in wrapping them. But if any items are unfortunately broken in transit by circumstances beyond our control, you can return them to us at the address above and once we have received the item, we will refund the full purchase cost of that item or send out a replacement by return & refund reasonable postage costs incurred. We will give any damaged stock returned to a women's refuge in Swanage.
